Saint Agnes School is now accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant position to cover a maternity leave in our Main Office. This position would start in early September and would last approximately 12 weeks.
The position’s duties primarily include:
-Provide excellent customer service to all who request assistance from the Main Office
-Manage substitute teachers, including calling, coordinating, and conveying to classrooms, processing paperwork for pay, and communicating lesson plans
-Track sick days and personal obligation leave for faculty
-Assist Assistant Headmaster and Director of Lower School, as needed
-Superintend school calendar (including common spaces such as conference rooms, meeting rooms, etc.) and attend monthly calendar meetings with parish and school administrators
-Coordinate field trips, including following proper field trip protocol with Headmaster, department heads, etc.
-Coordinate and assist in minor and major school events such as: Parent/Teacher Conferences, Picture Day and Retake Day, Graduation, Red & White Benefit Dinner & Auction, etc.
-Bachelor’s Degree minimum;
-Clerical or secretarial experience preferred;
-Ability to work independently, tactfully, and discreetly (especially with confidential information);
-Ability to prioritize, focus, and remain positive and calm under pressure;
-Strong communication, organizational, planning, and time management skills;
-Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
