1. Apply in TADS (Admissions & Enrollment Service):
- Complete application for admission.
- Submit $125 application fee ($375 maximum per family).
- Call Admissions Office at 651-925-8803 to coordinate acquisition of prior progress reports.
2. Submit Two Letters of Recommendation (Form)
Request the recommendation form, linked here, be completed by two non family members (teacher, boss, coach, etc.)
3. Compose a Written Essay
Answer one of the following prompts in approximately 300-400 words:
a) Tell us about a hero in your life. This could be a family member, a friend, a public figure, a literary character, a canonized saint, etc. What makes him/her a hero to you?
b) What do you perceive to be one of the greatest challenges that will be faced by your generation? In what ways will a Saint Agnes high school education prepare you and your peers to face this challenge?
Your final copy is to be handwritten, scanned, and uploaded to TADS or emailed to our Admissions Team.
4. Take the Freshman Placement Exam, typically held the 1st Saturday in January.Parents are welcome to join for an informative session with our Headmaster, Dr. Kevin Ferdinandt, and Q&A with our Admissions Director, Mr. Joseph Olson. Light breakfast will be provided!
5. Existing families at Saint Agnes School who are in good standing with their current tuition agreements will be given first priority until mid-January. All other applications will be reviewed according to the criteria noted above, in no particular order of priority. New applicants will be contacted after the first priority date regarding the status of their application.
6. If space is not available, applicants will be notified and eligible students will be placed on a waiting list. Registration fees are refundable if Saint Agnes is unable to offer placement for your child, or if you request to have your child removed from the waiting list.
Additional 9th Grade Admission Tips
- Shadow a Saint Agnes student for a full day
- Arrive at 7:45AM on the preselected day in the Main Office. Pick up is at 2:45AM back at the main school entrance.
- We’ll provide a complimentary lunch or students may bring their own.
- Attire: Business casual / appropriate for church
- Bring book or homework to use just in case there is an open period.
- Join us for a student Mass to come and see that portion of the student culture (typically Thursdays at 9:30AM)
- Attend a concert, play, or athletic event. Contact Admissions ahead of time for a free pass for your family.

Important Dates
- Join us for our Upper School (7th-12th) showcase in December
- Submit applications and necessary documentation prior to Christmas
- Freshman Placement test: 1st Saturday in January
- Financial aid applications are due late February in your TADS account
- Tuition agreements are sent in March
- 9th grade course selection: Mid-March
